Assistant Accountant

We value the importance of balance between work and family life and promote this philosophy throughout the company.     The Role:  As an Assistant Accountant, you will effectively assist with the day-to-day accounting and admin functions.     Your Responsibilities:  Bank reconciliations of multiple companies and accounts in multiple currencies Process month end journals and intercompany reallocations Monthly general ledger reconciliations and maintaining financial records Prepare GST returns and tax compliance documentation Prepare other government reporting as required Support budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis for business units Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports. Conduct variance analysis to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions. Help prepare for audits and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Provide general administrative support to the finance team.    Experience / Qualifications:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce or a related field.  At least 3 years of work experience in accounting  Previous work experience in a similar role  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.  Construction/Infrastructure industry experience (Desirable)    AUD Frenchs Forest 2086
