The CompanySalix is an Australian owned and operated rail business engaged in the design and supply of railway products throughout Australia and multiple international markets.     Job summarySalix are seeking a Finance Manager to support our high performing team. Tasks and ResponsibilitiesCompiling project & overhead forecasts, budgets & forward business plans incl capital & staffing requirementsManage project accounting month/year-end close process including project & overhead review; cost & revenue accrual journals and provide supporting docs to Corporate finance.Facilitate timely and accurate reporting relating to actual cost and P&L to operations.Project cashflow managementReport on expected and actual project performance against agreed KPIs including root cause analysis. Deep-dive project reviews.Business Unit management reporting to Corporate finance in a timely manner including variance analysis commentaryDraft initial project setup in SAP for Corporate finance review & release incl suggested Delegation Of Authority roll-downsAssist project leads with claims, process billing, chase overdue debtorsAssist project leads with supplier & subcontractor setup and procurementCost reviews including utilisation, timesheet allocations of people & plant, employee movements, subcontractor cost vs forecast, etcUnderstanding of the overall project development requirements and stages of projectsAssist in compiling audit queriesWorking with other Business Unit and Corporate finance to streamline processes Knowledge, Skills and AttributesTertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce (or industry equivalent)Full membership CA/CPAProven Project Accounting and/or Commercial background in a projects-based businessAnalytical skills balanced by an understanding of how businesses and contracts runStrong communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with key stakeholdersHigh level of accuracy and attention to detail AUD Sutherland 2232
