We value the importance of balance between work and family life; and promote this philosophy throughout the company.Job Summary:Martinus are seeking a Boilermaker to join our Plant team on a 6 month contract, based from Rocklea, Brisbane.Our Boilermaker builds, installs, maintains, and repairs steel and metal structures.Tasks and Responsibilities:Read blueprints/plans for the specifications of the job, including position and dimensions of the parts to be assembled or repairedInstall, maintain and repair steel and metal structuresCut, mould and weld metal/steel to fix faults, and weld and bolt parts of the structure togetherCompetence in arc, MIG and TIG weldingUse hand tools, flame torches and other machinery to shape, cut and weld sections of metalIdentify problems and solve them in a timely mannerResponsible for upholding the Martinus Rail principles and company culture.Focus on Martinus Rail’s commitment to achieve ‘target zero’, being no injuries or illnesses to people or incidents that adversely affect the environment.Complete required tasks day-to-day relevant to scope of works.Participate in site management of health, safety, quality, and environment management.Take part in risk management processes, identify, and mitigate risks prior to works commencing. Actively seek to increase efficiency and effectiveness of all Martinus Rail systems and processes, relevant to the specific job and the overall organisation.Onsite face to face participation of toolbox talks, pre-start, and other inductions.Qualifications required:Certificate III/IV in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent apprenticeship AUD Rocklea 4106
