This position will initially be office-based in Brisbane CBD, with increasing site contact as the project progresses. Tasks and ResponsibilitiesPlan and oversee environmental monitoring programs associated with cultural heritage, water, waste, noise and airUndertake inspections, site sampling, monitoring and auditing requirements (internal and regulatory)Provide interpretation of results and regular progress reports against environmental performance targetsCollaborate with construction teams on environmental management requirements to ensure that we meet our obligations and improve performanceSupport the environmental systems needs of the business including implementation, regular reviews and continuous improvementAssist in the management of environmental issues, including incident investigationsMaintain ISO14001 Accreditation requirementsUnderstand and comply with ISCA (Infrastructure Sustainability Council Australia) requirementsSubmit permits and approvals as requiredDevelop strong relationships with councils, regulators and other community stakeholders Knowledge, Skills and Attributes3+ years’ experience in an Environmental Advisory role, preferable within large infrastructure projectsRelevant qualifications in Environmental Science or a related fieldExtensive knowledge of environmental legislation, regulatory compliance and reporting requirementsGood communication skills, including negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at all levelsAbility to prioritise demands and handle complex tasks, meet deadlines and adapt in a rapidly changing environment AUD Brisbane 4000
