We are offering flexible working for this role, with a number of options available.The Finance Manager is responsible for the full month-end/year-end close process, as well as supporting management in the production of financial statements, audit queries and ad hoc reporting requirements for the project. Jobs Task and ResponsibilitiesManage accounting close process including journals, project and overhead review, and tax effect accounting entriesCashflow managementManage the financial internal control environment, including but not limited to journal approval, balance sheet reconciliation approval, master data management, and segregation of dutiesFacilitate timely and accurate reporting relating to actual cost and P&LReport on expected and actual project performance against agreed KPIs including root cause analysisUnderstanding of the overall project development requirements and stages of projectsAssist in compiling the annual statutory accountsAssist in compiling financial forecasts, budgets, and forward business plansAssist in compiling audit queries Skills and experienceTertiary qualifications in Accounting or Commerce (or industry equivalent)Full membership CA or CPAProven background in and working on construction projects as a Finance Manager. Civil & Rail construction experience is preferredDemonstrable experience at a similar level ideally gained within a high growth and fast paced environmentDetailed project accounting experienceManage the month end financials process, project financial reporting, and expected vs actual performance in a timely, complete and accurate wayManage monthly cost / revenue forecasting, engage with and support the project engineering teamManaged financial processes.  This includes cost codes, docket tracking, accounts payable, accruals, payment claimsUnderstanding of subcontractor and client agreementsUnderstanding of the overall project development requirements and stages of projectsStrong skills in SAP and ExcelStrong communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with key stakeholders AUD Sydney 2000
