In this role, you will be responsible for posting the payroll costing to P&L and Balance Sheet as well as ensuring data integrity, performing reconciliations & writebacks, and reporting payroll costs to stakeholders whilst being involved within the Accounting Team.Martinus is offering flexible working for this role, meaning that you may be based full-time from home or from our offices in Sydney or Brisbane. Jobs Task and ResponsibilitiesOwnership and completion of payroll journals and payroll balance sheet reconciliationsTimesheet allocationProvide data validation in amongst the project process, including maintaining home Business Unit dataWrite-backs & true-ups for Annual Leave, LSL, TOIL, & Workers Comp recoveryProvision of accurate reporting and analysis of payroll data for stakeholdersLiaise with multiple business units on queries & correctionsMaintain strict confidentiality and ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with statutory requirementsAssist with implementing new Payroll & HRIS, as well as provide support to HR and Payroll teams to ensure all current and new systems are effectiveManage data cleansingAbility to operate within a fast-paced environmentLiaise with various teams in the business via email & phoneAssisting with other adhoc finance tasks as required Knowledge, skills and attributesPrevious MYOB Advance and SAP Business by Design experience desirableProven reconciliation skillsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft ExcelStrong working knowledge of the end-to-end payroll functionAbility to identify and then make corrective actions from reconciliation performedStrong communication skills, both written & oralHigh attention to detail & high level of accuracyAbility to prioritise and meet deadlinesAccounting degree and full CA/CPA preferredConstruction and/or Infrastructure experience highly desirableAbility to develop strong working relationships both internal and external. Ability to engage with broad range of different functional positionsSolution focused. Ability to prioritize activities to deliver timely reports that reflect the true position of the businessEnergetic, approachable, positive and friendly manner AUD Sydney 2000
