This role is based in Perth on a 6month contract. The role reports into the Senior Project Manager based in Perth with a strong dotted line into the General Manager Finance – Projects based in Sydney. The ideal candidate will be more than just a numbers person. We are looking for someone with analytical skills balanced by an understanding of how projects and contracts run. The ResponsibilitiesMonth End Project Financial Reporting to Senior Management (Transaction Report with Pivot Tables, Financial Pack)Checking SAP Reports (e.g., review cost transactions posted)Set up monthly forecast templates and risk and opportunities templatePull together Month End Briefing PresentationSupport to engineers on monthly revenue and cost forecastingYear-end financial closeCreate all Client Invoices issued in SAPPosting Journals (including Accruals Journal) into SAPAssisting with cost codesRetention Balance Sheet reconciliationProject Cash FlowReview and enhance existing project financial and administrative procedures and policies, and ensure that project financial processes are adhered to at project levelMaintenance of the general ledger and ensuring its accuracy and data integrityAdhoc duties as required Performance Expectations:Prioritises workload to ensure deadlines are metMaintains a good level of work outputAbility to work without close supervisionPays attention to detail, is thorough and accurateCommunicates clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formWorks well with teammates and co-workersAbility to foster positive relationship with ManagerFollows set work procedures and processesCompletes tasks to a high standardTreats colleagues and external associates with dignity and respectBehaves honestly, courteously and ethically in all dealingsMaintains a positive attitude and professional imageMaintains compliance with safety requirements at all timesExhibits positive safety behavioursDemonstrates required level of knowledge of equipment and tools relevant to roleUnderstands all high-risk activities for the role Essential skills and qualifications:Tertiary qualification in AccountingCA/CPA desirable but not essentialPrior experience within the Rail, Civil or Construction sectorSAP skillsExcel (Intermediate level) skillsExcellent communication skills AUD Perth 6000
