Job summary

Martinus are seeking a Project Accountant to support us on one of our Major Rail and Infrastructure Projects based in Sydney. 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare Monthly Project Cost Reports and associated analysis reports
  • Produce and monitor transaction reports for Purchase Orders / Goods Received / Subcontractor & Supplier Invoices
  • Assist procurement and engineering personnel with correct cost coding of expenditure
  • Co-ordinate monthly reviews with Engineers for Actual vs Planned cost
  • Assist Engineers with Forecast Cost to Complete calculations
  • Prepare monthly Accrual Journals and associated Balance Sheet reconciliation workpapers
  • Maintain Project WBS codes
  • Assist in preparation of Project Cash Flow Forecast
  • Create Client Invoices
  • Adhoc duties as required

Essential skills and qualifications

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting/Commerce
  • CA/CPA desirable but not essential
  • Prior Construction Industry experience
  • Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, sumif etc) essential
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience with large ERP systems
