We value the importance of balance between work and family life; and promote this philosophy throughout the company.Job summary and project:Martinus are seeking an expression of interest from Skilled Track Workers & Leading Hands for work on the Stockinbingal to Parkes section of the Inland Rail Albury to Parkes Enhancement Project near Forbes, NSW from early 2024.Required experience for Skilled Track Workers:Turnout construction & level crossing installationStressing and destressingReconsGeneral Rail labourers for clipping & unclippingLift and slewWelding and grindingRequired experience for Leading Hands:1 year plus experience in one or more of the above areas; or1 year plus experience in structures/drainage Successful candidates will have the following competencies:White cardRIW card (Rail industry worker)TfNSW-SARC (Safely access rail corridor)CAT1-3 rail medicalNational statement of attainment for relevant machineCurrent VOC (Verification of competency) completed within 2 years of start dateAbout Inland Rail Albury to ParkesThe Inland Rail Program is a 1700km rail infrastructure project stretching from Brisbane to Melbourne incorporating new and existing rail track. The program includes the upgrading of existing standard gauge track, the enhancement of existing standard gauge track to cater for double stacking and the construction of new standard gauge links comprising of viaducts, tunnels, rail track, crossings and bridges.Works in the Albury to Illabo and Stockinbingal to Parkes sections involve extensive enhancements to specific sites across the 355km of existing track running from Albury to Parkes. These enhancements will provide the necessary vertical and horizontal clearance along the existing 'Main South Line' corridor to support the safe running of double-stacked freight trains up to 1,800m long and 6.5m high.
