This position will be based in Brisbane with the opportunity to travel to site when needed. This role is to promote best practice communications and engagement with external stakeholders and local communities. You will manage all aspects of community engagement for Queensland based project, ensuring alignment with the strategic and operational direction of the project. Tasks and ResponsibilitiesLead the development and implementation of best practice community and stakeholder engagement plansProvide advice on approvals processes and emerging issuesDrive necessary engagement with communities and other stakeholders to identify solutionsRepresent the business in community forums and develop communications materialsEngage with the client, statutory bodies, local government and mediaWork proactively with the client and other key stakeholders on issues, collaborate on solutions and continuous improvementProvide regular reporting and meet information sharing requirementsDevelop communication strategies designed to meet diverse communitiesImplement the Project’s sustainability strategies including the Sustainability Management Plan Knowledge, Skills and AttributesRecognised tertiary qualifications in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or a related disciplineExperience working in rail or infrastructure is highly desiredStrong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholdersProven ability in developing and implementing community involvement strategies and plansExperience in copy write, digital & website content management, advertising, and event coordinationAdvanced time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlinesStrong verbal and written communication skillsTo apply online, please click on the appropriate link below.
