You will be responsible for establishing and meeting the objectives in the Sustainability Management Plan (SMP) and ensuring compliance with relevant environmental and sustainability legislation, regulations, contractual obligations and third-party verifications such as ISC. Role Responsibilities:Develop and manage the project Sustainability Management Plan and ensure that the project team understands the requirements in relation to their areas of work.Develop standards for regular reporting on key Sustainability performance objectives, non-conformances and standards for managing project sustainability risks, including tracking metrics against the Infrastructure Sustainability (IS) Rating tool.Manage Sustainability budget allocation as required to ensure sustainability requirements are delivered in a cost-effective manner. ­Management of sustainability design consultants and the collection of ISC compliant informationMaintain up-to-date knowledge of all relevant legal, regulatory and company sustainability requirements, ensuring management and staff are kept informed of any relevant changes to project requirements. ­Help to create and support a climate that encourages environmental and sustainability innovation through the business.Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve sustainability outcomes in both construction and operation.Working in collaboration with the design, procurement and construction teams and disciplines to embed sustainability into project delivery.To be successful in this key role, you must have:Tertiary qualification in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related disciplineISAP/ GSAP registered.Minimum 5 years’ experience in Sustainability Management, preferably in large infrastructure projects, particularly roads, rail, or tunnels.Understanding of sustainability rating schemes and standards Demonstrated application of sustainability rating schemes and standards on projects Knowledge of tender requirements, project planning, development, implementation and review Ability to lead high-level investigations involving multiple internal and external parties.Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative environmental risk assessment and development of risk controls and actions involved in the delivery and implementation of projects.  AUD Belmore 2192

Sustainability Lead

We’re currently looking for an enthusiastic Sustainability Lead to join our team based in Sydney. To be successful in this key role, you must have:
