Flashbutt Welder

Job DescriptionMartinus have a continuous stream of work in Queensland and we need to engage qualified, experienced Flash Butt Welders to contribute to our ongoing Rail Project.The project is located in Queensland’s Townsville area and we are working on a 2:1 Roster. We have multiple vacancies available and we are seeking qualified Flashbutt Welders for immediate starts. Key responsibilities for this role are:Setup and alignment of rail and machine prior to commencing welding proceduresOperation of the Mobile Flash Butt WelderCutting and grinding of the railEnsuring that all technical, safety procedures and contract specific requirements are followedOther general track maintenance as required Skills and experience required include:Flash Butt Welding qualification5+ years Flashbutt welding experienceExperience within a rail infrastructure environment,Current valid Australian Drivers Licence,Hold a current White/Blue Card,Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team. Successful applicants will receive:Ongoing long term casual employment with full time opportunitiesImmediate startMarket leading rates plus penalties2 and 1 rosterAccommodation and food will be paid for whilst on rosterGreat work environment In addition, you must hold or be able to obtain a CAT3 Medical including a drug and alcohol screen before starting.
