Planning Manager

You will be responsible for developing and implementing project control processes, managing project schedules and budgets, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making. Ideally y will have a strong background in project management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Responsibilities:Project Planning and Scheduling:Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and deadlines.Collaborate with project managers and team members to identify critical path activities and potential risks.Implement effective schedule control measures to address deviations and optimise project timelines.Cost Management:Develop and manage project budgets, providing accurate and timely cost estimates.Monitor project expenses, analyse variances, and implement cost control measures.Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting.Risk Management:Identify and assess project risks, developing strategies to mitigate potential issues.Implement risk monitoring and reporting mechanisms to keep the project team informed.Work collaboratively with project stakeholders to address and resolve risks in a timely manner.Performance Analysis and Reporting:Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for projects and track performance against established benchmarks.Generate regular reports on project status, highlighting key metrics, milestones, and potential challenges.Provide insightful analysis to support decision-making at both project and executive levels.Change Control:Implement and manage change control processes to address modifications to project scope, schedule, or budget.Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to evaluate change requests and communicate the impact on project objectives.Communication and Collaboration:Foster effective communication and collaboration among project teams, ensuring a shared understanding of project goals and expectations.Interface with clients, vendors, and internal teams to address project controls-related inquiries and provide updates.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Project Management, Engineering, Business).Proven experience in project controls management.Strong proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Excel).Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.   AUD North Sydney 2060
