Project Engineer – Signalling

Martinus is seeking an experienced Signalling Project Engineer to join our team delivering the A2P project, based out of our North Sydney PMO.About the RoleAs Signalling Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in the planning, coordination, and technical delivery of signalling works on the A2P project. Working closely with the project management team, design teams, and site delivery crews, you'll help ensure signalling scope is delivered safely, on program, and to the required technical and quality standards.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide signalling engineering input and support throughout project delivery, from design review through to testing and commissioningLiaise with signalling designers, principal contractors, and rail authority stakeholders to manage technical interfaces and approvalsSupport the PMO in scope definition, program tracking, and risk management for signalling work packagesReview and interpret signalling design documentation, drawings, and specificationsCoordinate and support site-based signalling activities during construction, testing, and commissioning phasesEnsure compliance with relevant rail signalling standards, safety requirements, and network rulesContribute to technical reporting, documentation, and project governance requirementsAbout YouDegree qualified in Engineering (Electrical, Signalling, or related discipline) or equivalent industry experienceDemonstrated experience in rail signalling engineering, ideally across project delivery environmentsFamiliarity with relevant signalling standards and rail network safeworking requirementsStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across design, delivery, and client teamsComfortable working from a PMO base with the flexibility to travel to site as requiredCurrent rail industry safety accreditations (or ability to obtain) AUD North Sydney 2060

About the Role

As Signalling Project Engineer, you'll play a key role in the planning, coordination, and technical delivery of signalling works on the A2P project. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide signalling engineering input and support throughout project delivery, from design review through to testing and commissioning
  • Liaise with signalling designers, principal contractors, and rail authority stakeholders to manage technical interfaces and approvals
  • Support the PMO in scope definition, program tracking, and risk management for signalling work packages
  • Review and interpret signalling design documentation, drawings, and specifications
  • Coordinate and support site-based signalling activities during construction, testing, and commissioning phases
  • Ensure compliance with relevant rail signalling standards, safety requirements, and network rules
  • Contribute to technical reporting, documentation, and project governance requirements

About You

  • Degree qualified in Engineering (Electrical, Signalling, or related discipline) or equivalent industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in rail signalling engineering, ideally across project delivery environments
  • Familiarity with relevant signalling standards and rail network safeworking requirements
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work across design, delivery, and client teams
  • Comfortable working from a PMO base with the flexibility to travel to site as required
  • Current rail industry safety accreditations (or ability to obtain)
