This a major project with three key areas across Civil, Track and Structural (Bridges). Task and ResponsibilitiesPerform technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement and quality control functions for all activities at siteImplement the inspection and test requirements of the Project Execution PlanInterpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnelParticipate in bid evaluation of field subcontractsProvide general technical assistance to supervisory staffMaintain the project document control and filing systemsMaintain systems for and perform field progress evaluation and compare actual with planned progressComplete punch lists and complete P&ID checks for distribution to functional areasQualificationsRelevant Tertiary qualifications in Engineering Post graduate experience in a construction/engineering environment - civil or rail experience highly soughtCompetent in planning and organising work schedulesWorking knowledge of HS&E requirementsClear communication – verbal and written AUD Wagga Wagga 2650

Job summary

We are seeking Site Engineer’s to support our flagship project for Inland Rail based in Wagga Wagga, NSW. This a major project with three key areas across Civil, Track and Structural (Bridges).

 

Task and Responsibilities

  • Perform technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement and quality control functions for all activities at site
  • Implement the inspection and test requirements of the Project Execution Plan
  • Interpret engineering documents and drawings for field personnel
  • Participate in bid evaluation of field subcontracts
  • Provide general technical assistance to supervisory staff
  • Maintain the project document control and filing systems
  • Maintain systems for and perform field progress evaluation and compare actual with planned progress
  • Complete punch lists and complete P&ID checks for distribution to functional areas

Qualifications

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications in Engineering 
  • Post graduate experience in a construction/engineering environment - civil or rail experience highly sought
  • Competent in planning and organising work schedules
  • Working knowledge of HS&E requirements
  • Clear communication – verbal and written
