This is one of the largest rail infrastructure projects happening in the country today and we’re looking for an experienced Traffic Coordinator to come and be part of it.Support effective planning, programming and delivery of worksWork closely with site delivery team and provide knowledge and advice on traffic management strategies.Ensure work / traffic management is carried out according to safe working methods and best practice procedures (TCAWS and other legislation) by carrying out regular site auditsIdentify areas that can be improved and report to line managersWork with service provider / traffic control contractor to install, maintain, remove and record temporary traffic management and control systemsAssist with ensuring appropriate training qualifications and competence requirements are in place and monitored for the traffic management providersCarry out duties as directed by line manager Skills / Knowledgeto be self-organisedto adapt workload to changing prioritiesexcellent teamworking skills and able to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues and superiors.excellent written and verbal communication skillsexcellent record keeping skillsinitiative and confidencegood delegation and conflict resolution skillsphysical skills such as mobility and co-ordination, and a good level of fitness and stamina AUD Wagga Wagga 2650

The Opportunity

Inland Rail is a 1600-kilometre Freight line that will connect Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, NSW and Brisbane. This is one of the largest rail infrastructure projects happening in the country today and we’re looking for an experienced Traffic Coordinator to come and be part of it.

  • Support effective planning, programming and delivery of works
  • Work closely with site delivery team and provide knowledge and advice on traffic management strategies.
  • Ensure work / traffic management is carried out according to safe working methods and best practice procedures (TCAWS and other legislation) by carrying out regular site audits
  • Identify areas that can be improved and report to line managers
  • Work with service provider / traffic control contractor to install, maintain, remove and record temporary traffic management and control systems
  • Assist with ensuring appropriate training qualifications and competence requirements are in place and monitored for the traffic management providers
  • Carry out duties as directed by line manager
